A word from your Chairman

 

Dear Members

Although the position of Chairman was uncontested there was still a decision to be made by Sue and myself.  When we think of the past eighteen years and what the Centre has given to us, for instance a fantastic environment to bring up two children and the biggest circle of friends, there really was no decision to make.  Therefore it gives us great pleasure in being Chairman for the 09/10 season.

I would like to thank Keith and Debbie Grint for their hard work in compiling this year’s rally program which includes the National at Weston Park and the Five Centres hosted by ourselves at Great Saling.

We have a full committee this year incorporating both new and old faces and I look forward to working with everyone.  Les and Jackie Youngs and James and Margaret Lamb retired from committee duties this year and our thanks go to them for their commitment and hard work over the past years.

The Junior Committee also saw the retirement of Chloe Veal.  Chloe led a very successful Committee this past year and my thanks go to her.  It was a pleasure working with her.  My best wishes go to the new Chair Katie Potter and her new committee and I know they have some exciting things planned for this year.

My thanks go to all members who are running rallies for the Centre and Sue and myself will try to come to as many as we can.  My thanks also go to the advertisers in our book and the landowners who lend us their land for our enjoyment.

So finally it just remains for Sue and myself to wish you all a very enjoyable caravanning season and look forward to seeing you all on the rally field.
